Colleges in India are educational institutions to continue post-secondary education. Colleges may be considered as components of universities. Colleges in India represent different courses of liberal arts and natural sciences. There are a few colleges in every state of India. Colleges in India are mainly branches of state universities. They strive for providing their students with education of high quality. More and more young people come over India to receive an education.

            Engineering colleges are considered equivalent to universities where technical disciplines are taught. They provide with technical education with a diploma in the end. As for professional ones, in most cases, they help to receive education in the area of medicine, engineering and management. Some provide with education in some other fields. They are financed in accordance with the government`s initiative or private initiative. Private organizations or institutions created about 70% of private colleges. However, these educational institutions are managed in accordance with the rules of a university the branches of which it is. In spite of the fact them to appear due to private initiative, the state`s government also sponsor these colleges. There are universities with one specialty only but there are surely ones with a few. The number of students in universities vary from 1 000 to 100 000 people.
